Happy Monday Lovelies…. I hope everyone had a great weekend. We pretty much had a household of sick children over the weekend so any plans of heading out was completely dashed. We did, however, decide to stay in and watch movies which meant slouchy clothes and loads of treats!!! I will certainly be hitting the gym hard tonight to make up for completely horsing into the cake and chocolates.
Im glad to say the kids are on the mend which is why I whizzed up this delicious Banana & Peanut butter smoothie as it is protein rich and replenishes both mental and physical energy. It is a really good source of slow burning energy which keeps us feeling fuller for longer. Its also jam packed with various vitamins, folic acid, calcium, iodine, iron, magnesium, potassium and selenium. More than 80% of the fat in peanut butter is unsaturated, which is heart healthy so its an even better excuse to whizz it up.
2 Ripe bananas, peeled.
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 ¾ cups of milk
Whizz together all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and drink immediately.
